You stretch. You roll. You book a massage. Then the same tightness returns.
That does not always mean you need to stretch harder. Your body may need skilled guidance, comfortable movement, and an approach tailored to how you move.
Three parts. One personalized session.
Spring Stretch combines three complementary techniques to help your body release tension, move more comfortably, and settle during the session.
One practitioner. One table. A session focused entirely on how your body moves.
Developed through more than four decades of physical therapy practice.
Spring Stretch™ was created by Hiten Davé, MSPT, owner of Back On Track Physical Therapy. A 1984 graduate of Northwestern University’s physical therapy program, Hiten began private practice in Pleasanton in 1985 and expanded to Walnut Creek in 2004.
Years of treating difficult and recurring musculoskeletal problems shaped a method that combines rhythmic movement, assisted mobility, and calming techniques while respecting each person’s range and comfort. Sessions are delivered one-on-one by physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and practitioners trained in the Spring Stretch method.

Good to know before you book
What happens during a Spring Stretch session?+
Your practitioner will ask what feels tight and what you want to move more comfortably. The session then combines rhythmic movement, assisted mobility, and calming breathing or positioning techniques, adjusted to your range and comfort.
Will it hurt or will I be pushed too far?+
The method is designed to work within your comfortable range. Your practitioner will ask for feedback and adjust the position, range, or intensity throughout the session. Nothing should feel sudden or forced.
Who performs the sessions?+
Sessions are delivered one-on-one by physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and practitioners trained in the Spring Stretch method.
Is Spring Stretch the same as physical therapy?+
No. Spring Stretch is a wellness and recovery service and does not require a diagnosis or physical therapy plan of care. If your symptoms suggest that a physical therapy evaluation would be more appropriate, the Back On Track team can guide you to the right next step.
How is this different from other assisted-stretch services?+
Spring Stretch was developed inside an established physical therapy practice by Hiten Davé, MSPT, after more than four decades of hands-on experience. The session follows his method and is personalized around your movement, goals, and comfort.
How is it different from massage?+
Massage primarily works on soft tissue while you rest. Spring Stretch guides your joints and muscles through movement. Many clients choose one or the other based on their needs, while the 80-minute Combo brings both into one session.
Can I use HSA or FSA funds?+
Yes. HSA and FSA cards are accepted for Spring Stretch and massage sessions.
Do I have to buy a membership?+
No. Single sessions are always available. Memberships are optional and are designed to lower the per-session cost for clients who choose to come regularly.
What should I wear?+
Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows your arms and legs to move freely. Avoid applying heavy lotion immediately before your session.
I have an injury or diagnosis. Is Spring Stretch appropriate for me?+
Tell the team when you book. Because Spring Stretch is offered through a physical therapy practice, the team can help determine whether a wellness session is suitable or whether a physical therapy evaluation would be a better first step.
You already know what tight feels like. Come experience easier movement.
Your first 30-minute Spring Stretch™ session is $49. One-on-one. No membership required.
